Refund Policy

All the vehicles provided for you are owned by the local community in Sri Lanka. So please treat them respectfully. Damages, lost items, or misuse may affect your refund.

If any damage occurs or items are missing, we may deduct up to $150 from your deposit to cover repair costs or replacements. We only charge the actual repair costs and will inform you beforehand about any deductions. 

Refunds will be processed based on the condition of the vehicle and the terms of the rental agreement.

Return Conditions

Regular wear and tear or unavoidable mechanical issues won’t impact your deposit. However, please return the tuk tuk clean and motorbike/scooter, as you received it. We may charge a small cleaning fee if needed.

In the case of an accident, you may need to pay $10/day for Tuk Tuk and $5/day  for Motorbike/Scooter to cover the time the owner cannot rent out the vehicle due to repairs.

If you’re more than 4 hours late for the return, you may be charged for an extra day’s rental. Please communicate with us if you expect any delays.

 

Cancellation Policy

If the Renter decides to cancel the booking, the following conditions will apply to ensure fairness for both the Renter and local vehicle owners,

If the notice is given, 

  • 14 days in advance: refund the full amount, including the deposit. 
  • more than 7 days in advance, 75% refund, including the deposit.
  • less than 7 days in advance, 50% refund, including the deposit.

If, after completing the driving lesson, you decide not to proceed with the rental and cancel your booking, we will refund 30% of your payment, including the deposit.

Any costs for driving license or airport transfer service are non-refundable if it is already processed.

Early Return

If the Renter decides to return the vehicle before the end of the agreed rental period, the following conditions will apply to ensure fairness for both the Renter and local vehicle owners:

  • Notice Given More Than 3 Days in Advance: If the Renter informs the company at least 3 days before the early return, they will be charged for 2 additional rental days, and the unused days will be fully refunded.
  • Notice Given Less Than 3 Days in Advance: If the Renter notifies the company less than 3 days before returning the vehicle, they will be charged for 3 additional rental days, and 50% of the unused days will be refunded.

These charges are in place to support local vehicle owners who depend on consistent bookings. Providing early notice allows the company to manage reservations better and ensures smoother operations for all parties involved.
