Riding a motorbike out of Ahangama
The short hops to Kabalana and Midigama don't ask much of a 150cc — a scooter would do the same job — but the extra power is useful once Weligama, Mirissa, or Galle Fort are added to the day.
The coast road connecting all of these is flat and well paved, so the motorbike's advantage here is comfort and reserve power on the longer runs rather than handling difficult terrain.

- Never ridden on the left before?
- Consider a scooter first if you're nervous about the learning curve — the roads here are quiet, but the coast road toward Galle sees more traffic.
- Can I ride with a passenger?
- Yes. Both rider and passenger need a helmet, included with the rental.
- Can I return the motorbike somewhere other than Ahangama?
- Yes. Plenty of people finish in Galle, Mirissa, or further along the coast. Tell us where you expect to end up and we will arrange collection.
