Island-Wide Tours with a Chauffeur in Sri Lanka
Some travellers want to drive Sri Lanka themselves. Others would rather sit back for the whole trip. Every NOHA car is available with an experienced local driver — for one leg, or for a full island itinerary, days at a time.

Tell us your plan
Share the towns and sights you want to cover, your dates, and how many people — we'll build a route and quote it before you commit.
One driver, the whole trip
The same experienced local driver and car stay with you from day one to drop-off, not just a single leg.
See the island, hands off the wheel
Hill roads to Ella, the cultural triangle, wildlife parks — someone else does the driving and the parking.
Where we cover
Some call this a private driver, others a tour driver or a chauffeur-guide — every NOHA car comes with an experienced local driver, and a licensed chauffeur-guide can be requested too. There's no set itinerary; these are the regions travellers ask us to run most, most trips landing somewhere between five days and two weeks, and any combination of them can become one route. Tell us where you want to start and finish and we'll work out the rest.
South Coast
Galle Fort, the surf towns past it, and the beaches most people picture when they think of Sri Lanka's south — plus a stop for Mirissa's whale watching if the season's right. One flexible route instead of booking a fresh ride between each stop.
Hill Country & Cultural Triangle
Tea estates, the climb to Nuwara Eliya, and the ancient sites around Sigiriya — hill roads that are a lot more relaxing from the passenger seat than behind the wheel.
West Coast
The stretch between the airport and the south coast, or a base near Colombo for a city stopover on the way through.
East Coast
Arugam Bay's surf, Yala National Park's safari gateway further south around Tissamaharama, or further up to Trincomalee — the longest legs, covered in one car rather than a string of local buses.
Which car
A chauffeur is available on any of our four car models — Suzuki Alto K10, Suzuki Wagon R, Toyota Aqua or Toyota Prius — sized to how many people and how much luggage the trip carries. Prefer to drive it yourself instead? See self-drive car rental.
No licence needed
A driver comes with every tour, so the self-drive licensing requirement doesn't apply — that's only for self-drive rentals.
Pricing
Priced by route, car and number of days, so there's no flat rate to quote here. Message your plan and we'll confirm the price up front — nothing is charged in advance.
Questions about chauffeur-driven tours
- How is this different from an airport or point-to-point transfer?
- A transfer covers one leg — the airport to your hotel, or one town to the next. A chauffeur-driven tour is the same driver and car staying with you across the whole trip, for days at a time, stopping wherever you want along the way. Need a single transfer instead? →
- Which vehicles come with a chauffeur?
- Any of NOHA's four car models — Alto K10, Wagon R, Aqua or Prius. The tuk tuk, scooter and motorbike are self-drive only. See the car range →
- Is my driver a licensed tour guide as well?
- NOHA has a licensed chauffeur-guide (the Sri Lanka Tourist Board credential) on staff, though it's not guaranteed on every booking. Ask us to assign one when you message your plan and we'll confirm availability for your dates.
- What size groups can a chauffeur-driven tour take?
- NOHA's four car models each seat up to five, so this suits couples, families and small groups rather than large parties — there's no minivan or minibus in the fleet.
- Do I need a licence for a chauffeur-driven tour?
- No. That only applies if you're driving yourself. With a NOHA driver, there is no licence or paperwork to arrange. Compare the self-drive paperwork instead →
- Do you have fixed tour packages, or can we plan our own route?
- There's no fixed package. Tell us the towns and sights you want to cover and how many days you have, and we'll build the route and quote it before you commit.
- How much does a multi-day tour with a driver cost?
- It depends on the route, the car and the number of days, so there's no flat rate to quote here. Message your plan on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the price up front — nothing is charged in advance.
- Does the driver stay with us at every stop?
- Yes. Your driver and car stay with you for the whole trip — waiting at sightseeing stops, based in the same town overnight, and ready for the next leg the next morning.
