Driving a tuk tuk out of Arugam Bay
The beach road connecting the surf points to Pottuvil is flat, easy driving — a tuk tuk covers it without any trouble, and the extra room is useful for boards and bags moving between guesthouses.
Kumana, Tissamaharama, and Ella are all long rides from here — manageable on a tuk tuk, but budget considerably more time than the map distance suggests, especially on the rougher approach to Kumana.
