Riding a motorbike out of Colombo
The extra power matters less inside the city itself — a scooter handles Colombo's stop-start traffic just as well — but it's useful once you're heading out, whether that's north to Negombo and the airport or south toward Galle.
Give city traffic real respect regardless of engine size; it takes more attention than the quieter coast roads further south, especially for a first ride on the left.
