Driving a tuk tuk out of Colombo
A tuk tuk suits Colombo's stop-start traffic better than a bigger vehicle — narrower, easier to park near Galle Face or Pettah, and it's what most of the tuk tuks already on the road here are.
The airport run to Katunayake, about 30 km, and the longer drive to Galle at 125 km are both manageable, but budget real time for city traffic before you clear the outskirts.
