Riding a scooter out of Ella

A scooter is enough for the short hops out to Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam's Peak, or Ravana Falls — all close, and parking is easy at each. The roads climb and bend more than the coast, so keep the pace steady rather than rushing the corners.

If you're riding up from the south coast to start here, the last stretch into Ella climbs steadily through tea country — plenty of riders manage it on a scooter, just give yourself more time than the map distance suggests.

Scooter

The bike was near new, loved that the petrol cap wasn't under the seat so i could get it filled up whilst still sitting. Dropping off was just as easy and was given a ride back to my hotel.

Questions about scooter rental in Ella

Can I pick up a scooter on the coast and drop it off in Ella?
Yes — it's one of the most common routes we arrange. Ride up through the south coast and hill country, and we collect the vehicle in Ella.
Can I ride with a passenger?
Yes. Both rider and passenger need a helmet, and two are provided with every scooter.
Is the road up to Ella difficult on a scooter?
It climbs through hill country and has more bends than the coast road, but plenty of riders make the trip. Give yourself a full day and go steady on the descents.
