Riding a motorbike out of Negombo
The airport run and the short hop to Waikkal, both around 11–12 km, don't need much more than a scooter, but the extra power helps once Colombo or Chilaw are part of the plan.
The coast road south toward Colombo, about 35 km, and the continuation down to Galle beyond it, are where a 150cc's reserve power starts to matter over a smaller-engine scooter.
