Driving a tuk tuk out of Negombo

An easy first ride straight off a long flight — the roads around town and out to the airport, about 11 km, are manageable, and the tuk tuk's extra room is welcome with bags fresh off a plane.

Waikkal is a similar short distance north, and the longer run to Colombo, roughly 35 km, is comfortable on a tuk tuk if you build in the extra time city-approach traffic tends to add.
